My schedule at Ad Astra in Toronto this weekend includes a couple of readings. Friday night, I'll be reading from my story "The Dancer at the Red Door," which is on this year's final Aurora ballot. I have another reading on Sunday.

I'll be on a panel discussing "How much does modern fantasy draw from mythological traditions? Are some traditions more heavily used than others?"

I'll be on this panel, discussing "How do you get into the major SF writers workshops? How can you afford the time and money to go? What can you expect while you're there? Does attendance grant credibility with editors? How are you and your writing changed when you get back to the real world?"

Another panel, this one discussing how to turn a concept or an image into a meaningful narrative.
